About this Course

This class will be taught online via Zoom. Upon registration, login information for the Zoom classes will be emailed to you at least 3 days prior to the first class. You will also be required to pick up supplies for each class on Mondays between 12pm & 3pm prior to each class at Charles Porter Golden Gate Recreation Center. This is the perfect class to learn basic cooking skills. You will also learn what you need to know to successfully get a Food Handler’s Certificate. Each class covers: nutrition education, basic culinary skills, food safety, and seasonal produce tips. After attending of all classes participants will receive a certificate of completion. This class is sponsored by the Alameda County Nutrition Services.
